How does DT Max handle the 2002 carryforward of Ontario AMT paid in 2000 and 2001?

Starting with version 6.20, if Ontario AMT was paid in 2000 and/or 2001, use the keyword AMT-Hist and the option Ontario additional taxes paid for AMT to enter the information from provincial form ON428 line 23 (in 2000) and/or line 46 (in 2001).

Federally, use AMT-Hist with the option Federal additional taxes paid for AMT to enter the information from federal form T691 line 85 (in 2000) and/or line 117 (in 2001).

In addition, use AMT-Hist to enter AMT carryforwards applied federally and provincially in prior years. These amounts are found on line 427 of schedule 1 for the 2000 and 2001 federal tax returns, and on line 6154 of the 2000 and 2001 provincial form ON428. (Within each jurisdiction, each amount should be entered separately as they may differ from one year to the next.) They are required for the calculation of the Ontario minimum tax carryover on schedule T1219.

Note that a separate keyword group must be used for each option found under AMT-Hist.

For tax year 2003 onwards, DT Max will carry these amounts forward from 2002 automatically.
